Financial Statement Audits A financial statement audit is conducted to determine whether the overall financial statements are stated in accordance with specified criteria such as IFRS or GAAP. As businesses increase in complexity, it is no longer sufficient for auditors to focus narrowly on accounting transactions. We use a holistic approach that requires a thorough understanding of the entity and its environment which increases audit efficiencies. Our approach includes gaining an understanding of the client’s industry and its regulatory and operating environment. We also examine the client’s strategies, business processes and measurement indicators for critical success factors. This helps us identify the risks associated with the client’s strategies that may have an impact on fair presentation of the financial statements. Through such an approach we are able to add considerable value to the audit function. ![]() Should you wish to contact us about our services in this area, please submit an enquiry |
